At Retail 2010 in Sydney, Zytronic’s distributor in Australia, JEA Technologies, will be displaying the company’s Projected Capacitive Technology (PCT™) touch sensor products, designed for public interactivity in applications including information systems and digital signage. JEA is using the exhibition to launch J-Vue, a new interactive touch screen system designed for through-window interactivity in retail environments. JEA Technologies will be showcasing a variety of products based on Zytronic’s ZYTOUCH®, ZYPOS® and ZYBRID® touch screens.
The show will see the debut of the J-Vue interactive shop window display. This sleek, purpose-designed system integrates a 42″ (106cm) ZYBRID® touch screen and Zytronic’s latest ZXY100 dual-touch capable controller to deliver a free-standing display that is both elegant and simple to install in existing shop fronts. The design features a high brightness LCD that supports high definition content and can be configured to suit individual customer requirements.Durable ZYBRID® sensors are fully customisable and are available in form factors between 5″ and 82″ (12 to 208cm). The PCT™ sensing mechanism detects touch via a matrix of micro-fine capacitors embedded within a laminated substrate. The substrate can be sealed behind a thick overlay (even security or safety glass), making them capable of offering protection from water ingress to IP67 levels. With a toughened, pure glass front, the touch sensors are shielded from scratches, dirt, cleaning fluids and liquid spills that can shorten the operational lifespan of products based on other front surface touchscreen technologies, such as resistive or optical touch solutions. This makes them ideal for demanding, high use environments, including all weather, outdoor systems.
