Zytronic’s distributor in Denmark, Daimler Industri ApS, will be displaying the company’s Projected Capacitive Technology (PCT™) touch sensor products, designed for public interactivity, including information kiosks, ticketing and vending systems, digital signage and ATM’s at Elektronik-10 in Odense (E-10, stand 4928, hall C).
Visitors to the Daimler stand will be able to see demonstrations of Zytronic’s ZYBRID® touch sensor in a variety of sizes ranging from 7″ (18cm) to 15″ (38cm) customised with screen printed borders and logos that eliminate the need for a physical frame and consequently offer a sleek all-glass fronted design. These touch sensors are mounted on either LCD’s or Panel PC’s, and thanks to the recently launched ZXY100 controller family, visitors to the stand will be able to experience improved functionality including dual touch and gesturing.
The durable ZYBRID® sensor to be shown at the exhibition is fully customisable and is available in form factors between 5″ and 82″ (12 to 208cm). The PCT™ sensing mechanism detects touch via a matrix of micro-fine capacitors embedded within a laminated substrate. The substrate can be sealed behind a thick overlay (even security or safety glass), offering protection from water ingress to the level of the IP67 standard. As a result, the touch sensors are shielded from scratches, dirt, cleaning fluids and liquid spills that can shorten the operational lifespan of products based on other front surface touchscreen technologies, such as resistive or optical touch solutions. This makes them ideal for demanding, high use environments, including all weather, outdoor systems.
Elektronik is Denmark’s biggest electronics exhibition, attracting more than 200 exhibitors and 4000 visitors from the electronics industry including design engineers, developers, software houses and buyers every two years.
