We were delighted to receive the award for Passive & Electromechanical Product of the Year for our innovative Zybrid® hover projected capacitive technology recently. Held annually, the Elektra European Electronics Industry Awards showcase the standout work of leading innovators in the high technology sector and we are honoured to be recognised as part of the awards.
In a world where hygiene standards and public safety are more crucial than ever, our cutting-edge ZyBrid® hover contactless touchscreen technology offers the functionality and convenience of a self-service touchscreen without the need for contact with the surface of the glass.
Utilising our fully customisable Zybrid® touch sensors, our Zybrid® Hover was developed to enhance public safety and reassure those reluctant to make contact with self-service kiosks in the post-COVID-19 landscape. The new technology allows manufacturers of self-service technology to alleviate any reservations related to touching high-use kiosk surfaces, providing an incredibly hygienic, state-of-the-art alternative to traditional technologies. Our contactless sensing technology can recognise interactions up to 30mm away from the surface of the glass, enabling hesitant users to interact and make transactions comfortably. Should users be comfortable with direct screen contact, the technology can also operate in this way when set to standard touch mode.
With a unique touch sensor design, Zybrid® Hover pushes the boundaries on what is typically possible with touchscreen technology. Working in tandem with our ZXY500™ projected capacitive (PCAP) controller and harnessing proprietary firmware, Zybrid® Hover can deliver higher sensitivity levels. Its multi-touch sensor can recognise pinches, zooms and swipes with high accuracy, even with gloved hands.
While traditional technologies can be difficult to clean and therefore have an increased risk of harbouring bacteria, ZyBrid® hover contactless sensing technology is an invaluable asset, providing glass that can be cleaned with minimal effort.
We are so proud of the hard work and dedication shown by our incredible team on the delivery of our new ZyBrid® hover technology and are excited to see what the future holds for our ground breaking product.
Ian Crosby Sales and Marketing Director at Zytronic says “We are thrilled to accept the award for Passive & Electromechanical Product of the Year for our work in developing ZyBrid® hover contactless sensing technology.“
