A day with touchscreens

13 July 2016

Touchscreens have become a part in our everyday lives, and we’re increasingly encountering them everywhere: on the streets, in shops, around the home, and in our offices.

To highlight this, we have created a simple video entitled “a day in the life”, of touch, demonstrating how our range of patented and award winning projected capacitive technology (PCT™ and MPCT™) touchscreens are used  to improve our day.

Get an early start, making breakfast using The CX 480 induction cooker, from Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH (BSH). The hob features a seamless, edge to edge cooking zone, with an array of induction elements hidden beneath a durable glass ceramic surface, so that pans of various shapes or sizes can be placed anywhere upon it and rapidly heated.
The CX 480’s display employs a 6.5 inch (165 mm) customised ZyBrid® touch sensor. A feature of the Zytronic technology utilised by BSH in this application is its ability to operate through a thick glass or plastic overlay, thereby protecting the touch sensor from sources of potential damage, such as impact damage or high temperature spills
